Ingram Distribution Option:

Through the Ingram Distribution Program, your book will be available through an electronic data feed to the following markets:

Ingram—(the nation’s largest book wholesaler to bookstores and libraries).

Baker & Taylor—wholesale book distributor to libraries and bookstores

Amazon.com—the nation’s largest online book retailer

Barnes & Noble—the nation’s largest bookstore chain

NACSCorp—National Assoc. of College Stores (wholesaler to the academic market)

Your book will also be available through other markets both in the US and internationally.

It is up to you to choose the discount you will allow for your book.  Although a 55% discount is recommended,  Ingram will still list the title in their system as well as with Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble regardless of discount offered. Baker & Taylor listings are not affected by discount; however, they do choose titles based on their target audience interests. If you are not happy with the discount you have chosen, it can be changed.

You do not have to supply Goose River Press with books to participate in this program. We will print them as they are sold and you don't have to pay shipping, so you will receive more profit for your book. Additionally, the print cost is a less when books go to these markets.

The enrollment fee is $250.00, with a $25 maintenance fee thereafter.

You can also have your title appear for a one-time insertion in Ingram's Advance Catalog (goes out to all their customers) for a fee of $100.00.  Your title will appear in the catalog that goes out 3-4 months after your title goes online.

If you sign up for the Ingram Option, it is recommended that your book be sent to Barnes & Noble for approval into their stores. I can do this for you, you would just need to send me a marketing plan (I can send you a sample of what they are looking for) and pay a fee of $20.00.
